Things big and small...

So, it has been a while and many things have changed. My sweet little girl has been growing like a weed. It is hard for me to believe that she was once my little baby that I nursed and rocked. Now she runs fast, plays hard, and talks up a storm. She is repeating everything we say and her tiny voice is the cutest thing I have ever heard. She is such a happy little girl.

I wanted to document some of the things she does right now at almost 17 months old:

No more pacifiers!!!
Can sort shapes
Does puzzles with great skill
Can identify almost the entire alphabet
Knows how to say at least 50% of the letters of the alphabet
Recognizes numbers 1-10
Can say numbers 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, and 10
Knows primary colors along with pink and purple
Has a great imagination and plays with her stuffed animals for hours each day
Loves interacting with people and saying "hi" to get their attention
Has an amazing vocabulary...I tried to count and it is well over 50 words
Can identify eyes, ears, nose, mouth, face, teeth, tounge, cheeks, eyebrows, hair, neck, arm, knee, toes, hands, and belly on herself and others.
Is starting to use a fork and spoon accurately to feed herself (starting :) )

There is so much more, but this is all my chlorine soaked brain can think of right now as she is crying for me in bed. I have some snuggling to do, so excuse me...

***update July 6th, when asked, "What do you say?" she says "Pease!!!" Also, she can count to three by herself. Wow!
